Khakhra originally hails from Gujarat, but has found a place in homes and restaurants across the country in recent years. Especially popular in west and north India, this humble cracker uses simple ingredients to capture the flavours of Gujarati cuisine. Crispy and delicious, our take on masala khakhra is loaded with toppings and bursting with flavor. Serve this classic party snack at your next gathering. For our fusion version of this easy 5-minute recipe, we used our tangy, creamy Cheesy Chipotle Sauce, but you can substitute it with Tandoori Sauce and even Pizza & Pasta Sauce to mix and match your favourite flavours. Enjoy this loaded khakhra recipe at your next party!

Ingredients to make Masala khakhra:

200g khakhra
1 tomato, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped
3 tbsp coriander, finely chopped

Steps to make Masala khakhra:

Arrange khakhras on a large platter. We recommend using mini khakhras, but you can use larger khakhras as per your taste.
In a bowl, mix together the tomato, onion, green chillies, coriander, and Cheesy Chipotle sauce with salt to taste.
Load each khakhra with the masala mixture and serve.
