What is common between making salad dressing, baking eggless cakes, killing unwanted weeds and calming a sore throat? Apple cider vinegar! Sour taste, strong smell and such a wide variety of uses that it will give a superhuman a run for her money!
Did you know?
Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine, prescribed apple cider vinegar with honey for a variety of ills. Even during Biblical times, apple cider vinegar was cited as a source of flavour, energy and health.
The Inside Story
Crush fresh, juicy, organic apples from the orchards and distil the juice. Allow the sugars to ferment, and this forms ethanol. Add the holy mother of vinegar (a colony of acetic acid bacteria), and tada- we present to you the apple cider vinegar. The strands of the ‘mother’ form in the cider and can be found in every bottle of our Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother.
How to Use
Apple Cider Vinegar can be used for a wide variety of uses- primarily in food. It can be used in a plethora of sauces, to marinade meat, to boil better eggs and to bake eggless cakes. It is also a great pickling agent and can be used as an effective preservative. Outside the kitchen, Apple Cider Vinegar can be used as an all-purpose cleaning agent, in the bath, or as a hair rinse. However, we don’t recommend undiluted consumption since it has a high concentration of acetic acid.
